KETELEER Gallery opened its doors in 2012 at the Leopoldstraat 57, Antwerp. In the following 7 years it organically evolved into a family driven business in which a dynamic and open contact with both visitors and the art world became its core focus. The familial character translates itself in a warm and open environment welcoming the broadest possible audience. This open door policy aims at lowering the threshold and offering a refreshing experience to those who feel less at home in the world of contemporary art by guiding them through.
On September 7th, KETELEER Gallery and NEXT DOOR will move to a building well known for its rich art history in the famous Pourbusstraat 3-5, at the ‘South’ of Antwerp. Centrally located between the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, the M HKA, the Photo Museum and the ‘New South’, this location becomes all the more a symbol for new collaborations and the joining of both young and established, forgotten and world famous, off-centre and leading Belgian and international artists.
On October 12th, 2019, BREMDONCK, a new gallery space in the middle of the Peerdsbos forest of Brasschaat, will be inaugurated. On this unique location, the interaction between man, art and nature will set the tone. A small bar inside and a great attention to the surrounding space outside will invite the visitor to slow down in looking at the exhibitions. The outside space also offers the opportunity to curate a new sculpture garden and will allow the art to affect nature, and nature to affect the art.
