KETELEER GALLERY is proud to announce the representation of Belgian artist Patrick Van Caeckenbergh (°1960. Aalst, Belgium). The first official presentation of the artist will be a solo exhibition at Art Brussels 2024.
Mysterious and dreamy, that is how Patrick Van Caeckenbergh’s baroque collages, assemblies and installations of found and crafted objects stir our imagination. A compulsive collecting of curiosities, relics of our society and media clippings reveals a wide array of references to philosophers, writers, his own life,… Having lived in a small village closed off from modern society for 20 years, Van Caeckenbergh has delved into the small, mysterious and grand details of life and translates this time and time again into a fantastical new universe for us to discover.
