In this work, Tur uses cropped press images of seascapes that refer to the refugee crisis. The seascapes are not as beautiful, calm and peaceful as they might seem. The image quality is deliberately kept low; the images are out of focus. Elements such as refugee boats have been removed. We can try to close our eyes, but it is impossible to ignore or erase these problems. The work focuses on the insignificance of man. Tur also refers to the fact that hotel rooms with a sea view are generally twice as expensive. 'The ‘Sea Views’ are disturbingly beautiful,' he says about this work, 'They can be seen as symbols. Since the refugee crisis in Europe (2015) the collective idea and perception of the image of the sea has changed.’
