Peter Land and Fabien Mérelle are part of the group exhibtion ‘Ceci n’est pas un corps | Hyperrealism Sculpture’ at La Boverie, Liège.
With a selection of some forty hyperrealist sculptures by leading international artists (Paul McCarthy, George Segal, Ron Mueck, Maurizio Cattelan, Berlinde De Bruyckere, Duane Hanson, Carole Feuerman, John De Andrea, and others) the exhibition “Ceci n’est pas un corps. Hyperrealism – Sculpture” will illustrate the evolution of the human figure in the works of hyperrealist sculptors from the 1970s to the present day. The selection will highlight different key issues in this approach to figurative realism and show how our perception of the human body has continuously evolved.
The exhibition is on view from November 22nd, 2019 till May 3rd, 2020.
